Court hears stabbing was in self defence
A man was sentenced to 20 years in prison yesterday after stabbing his ex-girlfriend’s boyfriend repeatedly in th우리 카지노e neck and chest during an alleged row over his car keys.
Mark Anthony Dickson, 22, was found guilty of third-degree murder at a court hearing in the early hours of Saturday morning.
He had stabbed the 31-year-old at least twice as he sat with his daughter on a sofa at their north Kensington address in mid-October last year, before leaving the scene and returning at about 1am.
The former boyfriend and daughter had begun to argue on the weekend and Dickson, who lived next door to the victim’s family, allegedly kicked the victim and kicked him until he stopped breathing.
Dickson, who had been drunk, continued to assault the man until he managed to strangle him and then dragged him over to his daughter’s bedroom, where he stabbed him in his neck and chest.
Dickson, who had previously threatened suicide, is to be sentenced on Tuesday. He will be eligible for parole after the sentence.
Dickson’s girlfriend said that while she loved him, she felt he had been acti카지노ng in self defence during the argument.
Dickson had been arrested in September last year after a dispute over his keys.
He claimed his girlfriend had caused him “anger, jealousy and stress” because of a dispute over his keys.
Police subsequently established that the girlfriend had been in a romantic relationship with Mr Dickson fo강원안마r a further month before the dispute.
